Becoming a Sponsor

Sponsoring a feature in a WebCastro department is a great way to support the Castro community and at the same time put your business on the World Wide Web! If you have wanted an Internet presence for your business, let us provide a "web page" for you. The pricing structure is as follows:

For both levels of sponsorship there will be a $25 set-up charge.
If you are upgrading from an existing "E-Card," the set-up fee will be waived.

In addition to the set-up charge, the fees for a three-month period are:

$150 Basic Sponsorship---We create a small web page about you and your business with your picture and a small graphic of your logo (which we will scan for you). You may include more detailed information about yourself, your business, background, etc. Please see our bio pages (the Ron and Dwight buttons) for an example of what a sponsorship page could look like. You can write your own text. Be creative! (Nothing pornographic, please.)
$240 Deluxe Sponsorship---We will work with you to create pages that represent your business in its best light. This can include more photos, graphics, sound bites, backgrounds, colors, etc. Go wild! (Further scanning and other graphic services are available for an extra negotiable fee.)

Once you have a sponsorship page, you will then have your own URL (WWW address) which would be --
http://www.webcastro.com/Your_Name.htm

You can then tell your friends and potential clients this web address, so they will be able to find you here in WebCastro. We will also place a link to your page at the top of one of our feature articles, saying, "This feature is being sponsored by..."

Pages are renewable every 3 months, with fees due 2 weeks prior to the expiration date. A 10% discount is given for advanced payment of 1 year's services. You may upgrade from Basic to Deluxe at any time, just let us know. Your Deluxe page will be created and run in WebCastro beginning the next 3 month period. [If you have paid for 1 year's Basic services ($510), we will pro-rate your fees, with the unused portion being applied to the 1 year's Deluxe fees ($864 - unused portion = balance) due 2 weeks prior to running the upgraded page.] You may also discontinue your sponsorship at anytime, in which case we will remove your page from WebCastro on the expiration date. Please give us 2 weeks advanced notice of intent to discontinue. No refunds will be given, since the fees cover server expenses, as well as time invested to create WebCastro pages. All source code, content, and material created by WebCastro remain our property and retain our copyright.

Please note that your web page is a unique online hypertext link that could mean a substantial increase in exposure for your business. WebCastro will do everything possible to ensure this exposure by linking our site to directories and registries throughout the Internet's World Wide Web (WWW). We are flexible enough to work with you to accomodate your special needs. Please let us know how we can help you take full advantage of your new WebCastro "presence."

Your sponsorship will help support the Castro community by helping WebCastro run features on the many facets of life in "the Castro." We will be doing a lot of footwork to bring you interesting information about various people, places, events, history, and culture of our diverse community. We do not claim to represent all of these facets. There are many colors in our rainbow, and our lesbian sisters and gay brothers come in all flavors, shapes, and sizes. We are open to suggestions for features. We hope you will find some of what we provide interesting and informative.
