DIANA, Our Queen of Hearts

As the flowers and personal tributes to Princess Diana piled up around the world, our own special memorial in the Castro at Hibernia Beach, began to build within hours of her passing.

Diana, "Our Queen of Hearts," was the image of hope for a world of change and new attitudes evolving toward a softer humanity. She unconditionally recognized the need and despair of those still suffering with AIDS in the gay community. She helped validate our contributions in a society that is wrought with greed and self serving.

Diana shook the British monarchy to the bottom of its foundation. This illustrated the fragility of needless tradition. Symbolically, she gives us the power of change. She was the example of positive change towards our fellow humans. Diana gave us a gift of hope for humanity. Diana's passing will have a profound impact on the world for a long time to come.
