(My dear friend Ron Williams has lived in the Castro for many years and has seen it go through quite a few changes. He has also had the foresight to record much of what he has seen. This has taken the form of a book, which he has titled "94114," the infamous zip-code of our neighborhood. I have often felt that there is a great need for modern-day storytellers. Perhaps this new medium of the World Wide Web allows us the opportunity to become "cyber-scribes," creating the electronic hypertext version of ancient papyrus scrolls.
